Polar Bear Day aims to draw attention to the warming Arctic, and the challenges faced by polar bears as a result.
There will be live chats taking place on Facebook throughout the day, with the opportunity to ask questions to experts from Denmark, Norway, Canada and US.
The message behind Polar Bear Day is that by reducing our use of carbon-based fuels, we have the chance to slow, or even stop the tide of global warming. This, in turn will help to preserve the sea ice that polar bears rely on for their survival.
