Pic of the Week : Universal Children's Day

November 20th is United Nations Universal Children’s Day. This important day was first established in 1954 and marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly in 1959. It is also the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly in 1989.

Universal Children’s day is celebrated to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children’s welfare. It provides an opportunity for us to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights around the world.
