Thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of beautiful photographs. Enjoyed reading about the artists.
Fabulous. Loved the additional info about the pictures. As someone who has just taken up photography – it gave me some guidance for my own practice. The handy hints from the Curator very welcome too. Magnificent photos from a range of cameras.
The setting for the exhibition was an interesting choice, but I loved it!
The amount of images and the diversity of photographers was great and can clearly be seen through the different elements.
Very interesting shots and good information
Great collection of themed images
The photography today of earth, wind, fire and water is excellent – made me feel good. I enjoy all types of imagery and they all speak volumes.
Good variety of photographs. Interesting quotes around. Artistic, looking at images in a new way.
A thoroughly enjoyable visit. Back tomorrow.
Great clarity of images, easy to browse, accessible car parking
A diverse range of interpretations of the theme. Enjoyed the black and white and colour photos. Loved the space and size of photos.
Excellent, an inspiration to budding photographers like myself.
Great photography – will inspire me to go out and take more pictures
4 Elements – well curated in the space – some outstanding technical images – a great variety of viewing the 4 elements
Nice to have the camera settings – creates conversations about the intent of the photographer.
Loved the penguin shot – lots of varied subjects
Megan is taking A level photography, so the tips were very useful
Another of your exhibitions I’ve enjoyed. They’re getting addictive!
Some great images – especially liked the black and white photos.
Was a good exhibition. Nice mixture of styles of work.
Brilliant photos. Helpful assistant
I found it very inspirational. Just retired and took up photography as a hobby/pastime. I found the advice plaques very helpful.
Enjoying the exhibition. Can I suggest adding what country photo was taken. Liked the way the photos were displayed.
Lovely exhibition. Would love to have known where the pictures were taken, and might have missed some pictures, the way photos were set out, but a very nice selection of photos. Great black and white photos.
Excellent photographs, especially the black and white. Space could have been tidier and layout could be better. A good variety of subjects and techniques used.
Great variety. Would like to know location of photo. Love seeing the different ways people interpret the subject.
I thought the building it's in, is very good – lots of space. The images are displayed in a varied & interesting manner. The curator is extremely knowledgable & on hand to answer any questions which I thought was brilliant. Our photography class had an amazing time – thanks very much for the opportunity!
Spent 2 hours at the exhibition seeing some great pictures. Adrian was very helpful 7 informative. Very glad we visited. Thank you very much.
Very airy setting with plenty of space so had plenty of room to move around. Good selection of images. Useful details of camera settings.
Well presented exhibition. Great shots, full of colour.
Very interesting and enjoyable. A great variety of images & interpretations of the theme. Wonderful opportunity to see other photographers' work. Thank you.
Given that it is an unused office, the space was very pleasant. Information was good, easy to read and the photos were great.
Maybe have ambient music playing to drown out the traffic noise.
This is an excellent exhibition with stunning photographs, well worth the visit.
The 4 Elements described the exhibition perfectly. Kudos

Really good variety of shots.
Good, varied exhibition. Enjoyed the experience. Someone else's memories transported for all to see.
A lovely exhibition. We welcomed the inclusion of extra information about the inspiration for the images themselves, although would love to see individual explanations.
Great range of images, great venue – unfortunately not near city centre.
A good exhibition as always. I find it slightly distracting to search for the theme in a couple of shots that don't fit. However, this is a small thing and all the photos are worth viewing.
I like the photographs chosen as many of them communicate a mood like sadness/happiness through the elements. Nice exhibition.
Wonderful to see the prints printed really big.
Good display, and comments – photographs showed the title of the exhibition well.
I absolutely love the images that have a lot of feeling to them, like the one called 'homeless', it must be my favourite.
Another fascinating exhibition. Good to see more camera details, settings etc. for images. It would be interesting to include detail of where images were taken.
Excellent display spread over 3 floors. Ideal venue.
One of the best exhibitions I've been to, and in such a spectacular building.
Interesting pictures and educational topic.
Very good. Could be more information on location of shots. Could be better advertised.
Wonderful Pictures, interesting to see how many were taken on amateur cameras. Democratizing!
I found the exhibition very enjoyable, I liked the photography quotes. Very creative and captures the scene of 4 elements theme perfectly.
Great photographs, enjoyed.
A good selection of photographs, enjoyed the chance to view.
Great as usual!

Interesting and varied take on the theme.
Excellent photographs
Great to see images so large and in a very good location.
Interesting mix of photo styles. Good layout.
The location of the landscape shots would be good. Otherwise, great, lovely shots and well displayed
Again, a varied exhibition of images with a personal interpretation on the theme. Personally I would have liked to have seen more within 'fire' theme. There did appear to be a dominance of 'blurred' water, also several submissions by one or two photographers. Overall, an excellent exhibition
Excellent – well presented. Very thought provoking!
I particularly like to read the camera settings to help me improve my SLR photography. More detail of the locations of the photos would add interest
Another excellent exhibition
Wonderful collection of images – interestingly displayed – in a very large gallery space – which many of the images needed to 'breathe'. i was the only visitor at the time!
Fascinating & varied collection. Appreciate the nuts and bolts of detail.
I love the idea of different photographers, young and old coming together with the theme of the 4 elements. There was great technique as well as emotional photographs.
The exhibition had a very coherent theme. The quality of the images was very high – many were thought provoking. The exhibition was beautifully set up.
Most enjoyable. Excellent, restful venue with large exhibits in a giant location. Warm welcome given – take time out from your busy world to be transported into relaxed contemplation.
A fine and varied set of images well presented in an interesting building. Really appreciate the free access to this exciting work.
Excellent selection & beautifully exhibited in a fine space.

Very high standard with good details.
Great to see photographs in unusual imperfect settings, lovely contrast.
Loved it!
Excellent, amazing collection of images.
I really enjoyed the opportunity to see these photographs on such a large scale, with the space to be able to stand back and have room to appreciate them individually and in conjunction with each other.
Marvellous. Great use of space. Nice to see large prints. Airy and spacious, encouraged long look!
really liked it – liked the different series of photographs and the theme generally. MASSIVE exhibition – nice surprise that it was so big.
Very good display of large photographs with plenty of space to view and see from a distance or close up. I enjoyed the seascapes best.

It was really good! I enjoyed it! Lovely photographs
Excellent exhibition and use of space
Some superb photographs, well displayed.
This was excellent. Spent 2 hours and lost track of time! Wonderful choice of images and awesome to see them presented on such a large scale.
Very dramatic with large pictures.
Good range of subjects to fit the theme.
Some excellent shots, made me want to travel again.
Good pictures – nice to see 'prints' the size of projected digital images – not seen this kind of presentation before.
Also good to see the use of quite modest cameras eg. Canon G12 and 400D
Interesting – good diverse exhibition
Great exhibition, some wonderful photos. Would be good to have some information about the photos/location/scale
Very good idea. We need more like this.
The photos were gorgeous and I’m glad I came! I normally only go to painting exhibitions, but this showed me that photography is worth looking at too.
A diverse range of portraits and well presented, making a visit to the exhibition a real pleasure.
It was a very nice experience & for free as well. All the photos were amazing.
It was really good. Great pictures
It was interesting to see different shots and how each photographer used lighting and images, making them more ‘lifelike’
Great exhibition in different location. Enjoyed Harry Wakefield monochromes.
Very good exhibition, great to have this in our area and for free. Thank you. A really striking body of work with some stand out photos, capturing the essence of the subject beautifully.
Some excellent, inspiring images. Now back home to review my own images and apply some of the ideas seen here.
Great exhibition – rare to see so many huge prints. Perhaps fewer by the same artist would be an idea. Would be nice to read more about the images.
I loved the exhibition, the images picked were very good and I enjoyed looking around. Some have inspired me for my own work at college.
Layout was really nice giving space between each image to appreciate one at a time. Included a wide range of images with no limit to apparatus used, which was great.
I really enjoyed it, and it opened my eyes to the many different forms of creative photography.
Absolutely love the idea of using empty spaces. Love many of the photos, indifferent to some, but it is subjective isn’t it? Don’t like cheesy titles.
I found how it was set in an abandoned building interesting. The photographs chosen show a wide variety of photographic talent, it also shows that it doesn’t matter what technology you have, it’s what you do with it that matters.
A refreshing place to come, wander around if interested in photography. Photographs are wonderful! Love it.
Very interesting. Some new and fresh ideas.
Lovely space to do an exhibition & good selection of photos. Thanks.
Good selection/variation of colour & monochrome & sepia images. Some with very good capture of emotion and culture. Nice display size and hall lighting.

Unexpected – enjoyed walking around. A good variety of images. Will definitely go to the next one.
Interesting variations. Liked girl and horse – clever. Liked Children – good emotions.
Good to see with space to stand back and view.
Good to see that you give an opportunity to all ability levels of photography, to display their work. Good variety of portraits. It would be good to have an opportunity to view all the photos online when the touring exhibition is finished.
Another interesting, great exhibition. A great way to spend time.
Great to have another exhibition in Chelmsford. Love this theme of portraits.
Really good use of space. I walk past this empty office every day and it’s nice to see it used for something interesting and unexpected.
Really enjoyed it – good to see different cultures, ethnicities and different states of minds photographed.
Would have liked more images. Displays were excellent. Should request people’s favourite.
I really enjoyed the photographs. I’m not into photography but really enjoyed looking round.
Great to see such a varied collection of photographs in a really good location/venue and some useful photography tips and notes eg. ‘Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst’ ‘A photograph is a half-truth’. I’m glad it was more than 200 Faces, very thought-provoking.
Great exhibition. Very varied. Lots of great work. Very unusual setting. Keep up the good work.
Great exhibit that is very inclusive. It is inspiring and not intimidating, not over photo-shopped, just very honest.
Fascinating exhibition in a great setting.
‘Written in Stone’ was a great picture, and loved ‘moke’. Really enjoyed the exhibition, even though I’m not an enthusiast.
Well organised and nice to see diverse photos.
Wonderful exhibition. A great opportunity for someone new to photography to see what is possible – even ignoring some of the rules.
Very interesting and varied exhibition – you felt you could look in to people’s soul.

I think it was amazing, all the photos were fascinating to look at.
I feel like I got to look at pictures from a different point of view. Also feel like I can make up my own emotions just by looking at an image. i really enjoyed it and hope to see others.
I think that it was very insightful and interesting to see, I would definitely come again.
The photography skills from all of the photographers were amazing and all the people we saw were helpful, and helped us to explore our thoughts on the work beyond our imagination.
The range of portraits was very interesting. They all portrayed different aspects of life which made them thought provoking.
Excellent, love the variety of styles.
This showed a good range of portrait styles, many of which were taken on short focal lengths.
Super collection, very well presented, wonderful light room to display in.
A good mix of portraits in a great, light and airy setting – I enjoyed analysing the expressions and emotions in each and understanding what I liked and why.
An interesting mixture of styles and range of portraits.
We enjoyed the location almost as much as the photographs!
Fantastic selection of portraits. Inspiring that many are ‘amateurs’ using less expensive kit.
Great location and of course interesting work on display. Reading town doesn’t have this kind of exhibition often, great to see that there are others planned.
Inspiring! Liked geometrical – look forward to the next. Amazing space / views.
Found it very insightful. Liked that the title was only stated, as it left you and your thoughts free to ponder on what/why this picture was taken, to emphasise the culture/people.
Really interesting and helpful for my college project.
Thought-provoking – all your exhibitions are enjoyable to visit.
Really love the photos, especially the black and white ones. Think the building and light is really different to most exhibitions. Love it.
Great – we love the way the photos are displayed and lots of open space.
A very well presented and engaging exhibition with interesting comment boards in a fabulous setting. The staff were also very helpful. My friend enjoyed the exhibition also.
Enjoyed bringing my teenagers – to give them ideas for their own work (GCSE and A Level). Great space and light for an exhibition.
Excellent in every sense of the word – layout, setting, choice of photos, location.
Another good exhibition. Very inspiring. Thank you for organising these. Look forward to more.
Interesting mix of black and white and colour photographs covering a wide range of subjects – a great introduction to portraits.
Breathtaking candid portraits that make you reflect and ponder.
Excellent, great variety of images to stimulate the mind.
I have not thought empty offices could be used like this. It is a creative approach and the exhibition itself is definitely an interesting and creative one.
Very good portraits. Gave us lots of opportunities to be critical and learn.
Interesting takes on portrait photography
Good, very varied, good to have camera setting details.
Great layout. Good variety of photos. Personable people at reception.
Very good exhibition. Great to see different faces in different settings, some very thought provoking.
Very good to see so many different photographers exhibited with a good wide variety of styles and faces. Would have been nice to have some text about how and why the photo was taken.
We have visited the last two exhibitions in Birmingham and have really enjoyed them. The photographs here are still good but we would have liked to see more.
really interesting to see all these photographs from amateurs to experts. It's also good idea to convert free office spaces into art exhibitions. I enjoyed the Gallery.
Was surprised how many photos were taken by one photographer but liked his photos – v interesting. Just about the right number of images or you could become fatigued/overloaded.
I thought the exhibition was very engaging. The variety of images was fantastic and the installation worked very well.
As usual, very well laid out. Lovely venue with plenty of parking space nearby. Friendly attendant willing to explain and welcome visitors. Great variety of photos – thought provoking.

Some excellent images among those exhibited. The candids were often better than the posed.
Enjoyed it very much. Especially enjoyed the fact that the shooting information was given for each shot.
Well presented and good variety and pleasant gallery attendant.
Great to see some great photos. Tips dotted around the place are great. It'd be good to get these in a booklet.
I enjoy reading the photographers photography camera settings, to improve my own photography. Eg. ISO rating, focal length and shutter speed.
My first visit and I found some good photographs. Expected to see 200 so was a little disappointed. But overall enjoyed the exhibition.
I enjoyed this one – I also liked the street photography one – they both worked in telling stories. I found No Briton is an Island a bit harder to enjoy without some background. But I really like that these exhibits travel to smaller towns so you have an opportunity to enjoy different types of photography.
First time – most enjoyable, certainly look forward to my next visit.
A fascinating and varied collection of images and I enjoyed the blend of monochrome and colour. Also, the different subjects of widely varying ages made for a diverse display. Would certainly recommend a visit, as this has been the 4rd TPA event I have attended.

I thought the photographs were beautiful. The office itself was a bit dingy but it did make it interesting.
Very interesting – fantastic faces.

The venue was quite difficult to find, but it was well worth it. Fantastic collection of photographs on a wide variety of themes – very enjoyable! Exceptionally friendly helpful and warm welcome from the attendant – who also gave me a quick tour! A big thumbs up! 🙂
Excellent. Liked the variety of shots. Nice to see other people enjoying the exhibition.
Lovely light airy space! Some amazing shots – felt the pictures were effective blown up and there were some great thought inspiring quotes, particularly effective being placed in the offside rooms and spaces so that they couldn't be missed. Great view of the surrounding buildings and area.
Brilliant exhibition – photographs work really well in large size – a real mixture. Love the use of venue – great use of an empty space – some thought provoking quotes too.
Excellent: preferred this to previous exhibition at First Street – more because of my interest in landscapes and architecture and architectural shapes.
Some beautifully striking shots. Each photograph tells its own story and makes you feel like part of it.
Excellent – size, space and silence to think.

The children were able to experience art in a different form. They enjoyed looking at the pictures and learning about the artists and where in the world the pictures were taken.
Some interesting photographs, well set out. It is good to be able to stand back in plenty of space. I also enjoyed the comments about photography. It would have been really helpful to know more of the camera details in some shots.

Interesting, varied, atmospheric. Allows one to view ordinary life in a different way. Well worth visiting.
Interesting. It has given me some ideas.
An interesting variety of photos. Would love to know which were Photoshopped (some obvious but others less clear). Also perhaps more info for beginners on how the photos were taken
Children of 11 and 8 enjoyed it as much as I did. Using the inspiration to make craftwork – possibly applique or patchwork.

Visited all the buildings and was impressed by the variety and innovation of the contributors’ photographs. The wondrous world in which we live recognised by enquiring minds, captured forever.
Great, non pressured experience, to wander round at our own pace. Helpful photography tips and specific information about how the photos were taken, made the exhibition not only more enjoyable, but also useful for a young amateur photographer. Like the unconventional venue.
Thought provoking and good to see a range of interpretations on a theme

One of your best exhibitions. Many different aspects.
Nice to see Architecture removed from context, reduced to shape and textures, alongside Architecture placed in the context of its human users.
The exhibition was very colourful and vibrant. A nice mix of different artists.
Large prints and Architecture theme. Good mix of black and white versus colour. Interesting to see camera phone images!
Really enjoyed the difference in style and looking at the camera settings, so I can learn.

We have been to 3 exhibitions and really enjoyed them. Only came by them by a small article in Reading Chronicle. Love the idea! Keep it up! If you are nosey and interested in photography it’s perfect.
As a retired Architect, recently returned from working in South East Asia, I appreciated the works shown, particularly the modern architecture.
Where known, the names of the architects could be indicated, although I recognised some of them.
Well done. Enjoyed the exhibition. Lots of tips and info, inspiring.
Absolutely mind blowing

Great space! Liked the detail on the photos ie. ISO/Aperture. Good work!
Great exhibition. Completely debunks the idea that you need a large format camera to blow up into poster size prints – Big Ben on a iPhone is amazing.
Great images and very well displayed in the space
It was a marvelous exhibition and I enjoyed it very much.
Very good, excellent location – wanted more photos!
Great contrast between pieces inside and architecture outside.
Excellent architectural photos of many types, in a wonderful space.

Good to have background of photographers and some context to stories behind pictures.
Interesting and thought provoking. Beautiful colours amongst a desolate background.
Insightful photography. The handout was very useful to add the background to the stories.
Thought provoking especially the old lady. Insight into other lives and societies. Untitled photos leave the viewer a little lost as to their meaning.
I enjoyed this exhibition, it gave me the chance to observe the lifestyles of others, which are completely different to my own. It gave me the chance to reflect on my own life, and to ask myself "What is my story?". Wonderfully insightful. The set up is terrific. I particularly like the 'Latin American Everyday Life' with it's use of colours and dynamic depictions of ordinary humans.
Useful photo tips plus some excellent images. Interesting venue.
Interesting to see an exhibition with groups of photos on a theme by the same author, rather than lots of individual photos. Enjoyed it a lot. This is the 3rd TPA exhibition I've been to now, and they've all been good.
Guatemalan photographs very strong – good photo story-telling. Russian photos – the black and white treatment really worked – a bleakness about it. South African pics well-captured – would have liked more info on individual shots.
I enjoyed the whole exhibition. The Russian Steppe photos were very atmospheric and worked well as a set.

Inspirational, educative, not overwhelming. Provides some useful tips through examples. Venue just perfect.
very interesting & well displayed exhibition. The booklet also helps in understanding about the photographers.
Enjoyed the exhibition. Good layout and display of the images. Great venue and space.
Absolutely fantastic!! Very enjoyable. Really good information booklet about photos and photographers. Could they be in alphabetical order?
Really enjoyed the exhibition – the scale of the display & space to stand back and view. Quality of the reproductions. Then the wonderful images – inspiring.
Another super show. High quality. Keep on doing these exhibitions. Thanks again.
Very good photographs, well displayed. A good variety as well.
Enabled you to view each exhibit in good space and light. Helpful info on each image is very useful in understanding the thinking behind the photograph.
Once again a first class selection depicting 'Light in the Lens'.
Lovely space, great pictures. Enjoyed the 'Mumbai Train' and infra-red images.
Very good much enjoyed.
It is amazing to go round and look at all these photos. I would recommend to notify schools about this as a lot of students would like to see this.
Will definitely come to another & spread the word. Love the pictures, quotes & photography tips!
Really informative for beginner photographers like myself, good to learn helpful tips that I can use and play around with. excellent range of photos from all over the world. Beautiful selection of mainly unposed work. Helpful note cards with camera settings for beginners.
Very well presented, however I expected to see a greater range of prints.
Lovely – really enjoyed the combination of imagery, quotes and advice. Was interesting & helpful to read the details behind the photos.
Great to see a variety of topics in a broad theme. Mixed quality but all great.
Excellent – inspired me to go and dust off my old camera!
A great range of images with diverse subject matter. well done to all exhibitors!
Loved Robin Lowry's work. Interesting displays and made a great impact!
Good, but not as good as the previous 2 I went to, (Splash of Colour and Streetscapes). Most photos were traditional, I would have expected some to be more ground-breaking or 'edgy'. Nevertheless an enjoyable experience.
Loved the photos being so big, made it feel like a gallery. We came as a group (people with dementia, so size meant they were able to make out the detail. Also great to have a number of us around a picture for discussion.
Great exhibition space. Great shame not more publicity. Super range of subjects to help me think about what I want to 'focus on'.
A very diverse collection of photos unified by the theme of light. Interesting venue with lots of room for uncluttered display.
Super venue – really interesting use of space. Well planned and co-ordinated exhibition with some interesting 7 thought provoking photos.
Made me want to go through my own collection to see what I have!
Great use of space & variety of photos showing a range of fantastic scenes, people and locations.
Very good, well displayed, excellent use of all the rooms, especially in Queens House for posters. Must have taken a long while to curate. Well done.
Excellent exhibition – some truly outstanding images (including some of mine – although mine pale in comparison!) Obviously some very talented photographers. A great opportunity to see some inspiring and thought provoking images.
Fantastic photographs and good technical tips!
I'm interested in photography so very pleased to find the exhibition on. Very interested to view the display of photography and the different range of styles.
Really enjoyed it, particularly liked the facts about shutter speed etc. Good use of the space.
A fascinating diversity of photographs & techniques. Really enjoyed it!
Excellent, well worthwhile.
An excellent exhibition again.
5 Stars. Fab. A great afternoon.
Well set out, good pictures from photographers all over the world. Great themes/subjects, well worth my time, I'll come again.
Well displayed with plenty of room. Varied content. Some excellent photographers, including young photographers at the start of their careers, well worth the visit.
Very good display, good cross section of subjects and varying cameras used.
Excellent varied content and displayed to great effect. very interesting, thank you. See you again soon.
Stunning shots. I personally need to do a lot of work to compete with these!!
Some excellent images which have given some inspiration to try and do better in my own photography.
A good eclectic mix of subject matter, not at all pretentious, very well spread and displayed.
Excellent exhibition. Great inspiration. Lovely to see it at Southend. Has given me lots of ideas to develop my work.
A wonderful selection of photos showing many aspects of light in our photos.
Very interesting and extremely enlightening to learn about taking the photos in sunshine and shade and dark and light.
Enjoyed the pictures – very good mix of subject and styles.
Excellent exhibition, very well presented. The large venue in Southend on Sea – could have used just the ground floor (in my opinion). Information on each of the photographers' exhibit was informative. An inspiration to pick up my camera & get outside to capture images of nature's art.
A good exhibition showing a range of performance related pictures
Good variety of photographs with information to assist it.
Brilliant as usual, standards very high.
Very interesting to see different interpretations of Performance. Liked the large scale canvasses – helped to ‘get in to’ the photos.
Another excellent exhibition, encapsulating varied aspects of Performance – subjects in the limelight if only for a short period. Particularly enthralled by the phenomenally vibrant portraits of Clee Villasor with their splendid smiles!
Very interesting subject
Some beautiful shots – great to have the camera settings shown. Particularly liked the Horton action shots and the Phillipines work – intense colours – superb.
Enjoyable variety of subjects. Great use of empty offices.
Another excellent exhibition! Thank you.
Easier to appreciate exhibition if pictures are in open space rather than individual rooms. Fascinating and inspiring. More please!
Second floor was very engaging. Great space, bright and vast. More details about pics would be great ie. location, date etc.
The series, 'Lost Childhood' is very powerful – a stand-alone exhibition in a venue with connections to children's projects and charities could draw a lot of visitors.
The most moving picture is 'Vows', conjuring up several stories.
We thought it was amazing and inspirational. It showed a lot of character.
Loved the action shots – very good exhibition.
As usual – a very good exhibition. Some I like, others not so much but I like to see all.
So unusual – a very good exhibition. Great to see such large images. A great exhibition – loved the variance in the work.
Beautiful Performance photos
REALLY interesting to explore an empty building and the photos were good too!
Mixed views. Some do not appear relevant to the subject and sharpness could be improved. I also attend and always enjoy. I also like the information given as to the ISO, speed etc.
Very interesting interpretation of subjects; particularly liked photographs of Hannah Presdee.
Another excellent exhibition by photographers who know how to 'capture' people (and also fast moving objects and scenes).
Good to see pictures exhibited in large format. Interesting spread of subject matter. Informative captioning.
It's great to see empty spaces filled. the photos are very nice, I especially enjoyed Hannah Presdee close hand shots.
A very interesting exhibition showing a variety of styles and approaches.
I really enjoyed the exhibition – the way it was set out & different styles of photography. I've learned a lot of techniques and got ideas for my own photography.
A wide range of subject matter, in particular I liked the portraiture.
It was a great exhibition – nicely laid out. Some of the photos were fantastic – vibrant colours. Came with my daughter who is about to begin a foundation photography degree, I'm glad I came with her.
The best exhibition of photography I have seen in my 87 years.
I really liked the use of the space and the quality and diversity of photographers.
Quality of pictures superb, many of the pictures stunning and inspirational. Excellent information boards on techniques
I viewed the exhibition with my grandson who is about to go to Art College. Like me, he found it enlightening. He's now aware of the standard needed to make an impression
Plenty of space to set all the images out. Light is good. The theme is excellent giving a wide variety of subjects
Excellent range of images. The 'lost childhood' series was superb
Some excellent images. Well presented. Enjoyed the work of Clee A Villasor – colours were vibrant & you felt you were at the event.
An interesting exhibition. Definitely worth visiting and will recommend it to friends. Would be nice to know place where photos been taken. Will visit other exhibitions for sure. Thank you for organising important to get people interested in art.
Nicely laid out – stunning exhibits. Loved it, great large prints & dynamic shots!
Great location. Great photos
Pleasant photography. Tips and information regarding settings useful and expanded my knowledge
Thoroughly enjoyed – good that info regarding ISO, focal length etc. is shown. It would have been nice to have a leaflet informing more about the participants and where and when photos were taken.
Interesting theme. Good mix of professional and amateur images. Amateur images will encourage others to have a go. Good info and advice panels.
I've just been round your 'Performance' exhibition at First Street Manchester and wanted to say how much I enjoyed it. The large canvas sizes and the amount of space available made it very easy to stroll around and take in all the images, stopping to look at the more fascinating ones in greater detail. I've seen from your site that you have another exhibition planned for April/May at the same venue and i will definitely be making time to visit. Will try to spread the word about this as well so that more people can come and enjoy. Thanks.
An interesting mix of sports & music. I found the photos of festivals & people of the Philippines particularly poignant due to the horrific events happening at present, but as in the photos their beauty and spirit will return
Really enjoyed it, variety of photos and styles. Plus enjoyed the slightly creepy feel of abandoned offices and the views
Well spaced, well thought out and very colourful
Very good choice of photos, very well displayed
It was worth the trip. Would come again
Thoroughly enjoyable
Another great exhibition and use of space. Some inspirational photos, loved the black and white photo – ‘Home is where the hatred is’.
Interesting and inspiring (as always!) and intriguing (Susan Brown’s 3 x seagulls – where are they?), life (The Hat) liveliness/spirit (Amie).
An exhibition that kept on giving – full of wonderful surprises.
Diverse range and skill level, good coverage, great to see your support in developing the exhibitors. Attend all here, looking forward to next one.
Very interesting exhibition – great to see a wide genre of subjects from different countries with breadth of skills.
Great photos, nicely displayed. I was particularly intrigued by how it was often not obvious which country was photographed. I expected concentration on obvious icons – palace, Eiffel Tower, that sort of thing – but that wasn’t the case. Nicely refreshing to see unexpected aspects of some countries. I liked it!
Very interesting mix of photos. Great information in booklet.
Very interesting. Will try some of the ideas myself.
Wonderful images. Great idea to use empty office space.
Interesting, unusual and beautiful selection of photos. Thought-provoking and inspiring to make the most of the places around us.
As always, very enjoyable and impressive exhibition
A fantastic surprise and great use of an empty building.
Good selection – colour & monochrome – inspirational.
Nice displays – lots to discuss, provoked lots of comments.
A great revelation. Feel so silly – I should have brought some friends – feel I have been taken out of myself – so good to do this. So many fascinating images, such a pity so few attendees. Hope for better marketing next time!
Nice variety of pics
Very personal representations of the countries, no cliche landmarks, gives a deeper insight into the everyday life that goes on. Perhaps could do with a brief description of the aims of the photographer, and the country it was taken in. I am writing about this for a university paper.
Great exhibition with stunning pictures. It shows everything – landscapes, culture and daily life situations. For people interested in photography, all the picture details are explained. Perhaps for the future: the country, where the picture was taken could be included.
Interesting photos – reading the captions helps you see different things in the photos and the meaning.
Interesting to see how a wide variety of people view their country. Food for thought.
Great seeing the images blown up.
Very informative. Great venue. Really enjoyed it.
Beautifully presented. A good range of subject matter too! This is such a worthwhile venture. Well done!
Lovely, thank you.
Really interesting shots, very inspiring.
Very good range of photos. Gives ideas of what could be options to try.
Very interesting and enjoyable
Some great pictures, some rubbish. Some look as though they could have been printed better. But, this is a really great exhibition.
Interesting variety of shots and editing techniques.
There is a good selection of photographs. the explanations are clear. Good viewing area.
Great exhibition again. Enjoy looking at the different pictures.
As usual, a very good selection of photographs which make for discussion, some you love and some not so much.
Really impressed by the seascapes and the variety of images chosen to represent the theme.
Fantastic exhibition in a great space. Really enjoyed the photographers work and hope to attend future exhibitions. Thank you.
Beautiful exhibition! I found the photography tips very useful and enjoyed all aspects of the gallery.
Brilliant setting for an exhibition. Such a range of themes in the photos. The space allowed for the pieces/exhibition to not seem too crowded – allowed time to reflect on each piece.
We enjoyed the anecdotes alongside the pictures and the details of which camera used.
I’m an exhibitor. Enjoyed seeing my work. I felt that as usual, the work was beautifully displayed and not cluttered.
A great variety of pieces, there was a lot to look at, each floor had a different ambiance and on the whole it was a great experience. I loved the scale to which the images were blown up, it really made me appreciate the detail in each piece.

Interesting and thought-provoking selection of images. The venue place and its surroundings adds to the whole experience!
Very interesting exhibits. The tips on photography by Adrian Stone are also very helpful
Fabulous thought-provoking exhibition
Interesting with the use of photo development after the event ie Photoshop. Not my interest but good to compare what can be achieved.
Really enjoyed it! Especially the ‘universe/balloon’ photos 🙂 !
Fascinating mix of styles and images. Would like to have known what editing packages were used (eg. Lightroom)
Really enjoyed it. Great ideas, liked the quotes too.
Really enjoyed. Great exhibition on things I would otherwise have missed.
Really interesting exhibition with a range of different styles. Love that the exhibit is free and open to all.
Interesting to see photos of things I’ve noticed but would not have considered photographing.
The concept of using empty office space is a great idea. The large canvas photos used for exhibiting and moving from venue to venue is excellent. Good spacing of the photos, great range of images, excellent large scale.
Excellent – loved the idea of using abandoned office space. Variety very good. High standard.

Great exhibition, great venue/location. Interesting selection of photos – architectural abstracts, lighting experiments, macros, landscapes. Excellent exhibition 🙂
The exhibition was fantastic! The concept and creativity showcased was by far the best thing yet. I’ll definitely be recommending to my friends and family. The idea of having big space over 6 floors allows me to appreciate each floor. I loved it!!

It was very exciting, there wasn’t a point I was unentertained.

I really enjoyed it, and it opened my eyes to the many different forms of creative photography.

The idea is fantastic. The images explain more than a story.
As expected, lots of different post-processing and photography techniques.
Loved the exhibition. Would like to see more in Swindon!
Great, enjoyed it a lot.
Superb presentation, good use of an empty building. Not as ‘creative’ as I thought it should be as it recorded what was seen, and only some had photographer’s input. Particularly liked Ruth Bourne’s work.
Very good, needs more support.
Great exhibition. Well curated and a great space.
Really good opportunity to see less well known artists. Inspiring, food for thought for own photography projects.
Very beautiful photos – fantastic venue

Really excellent use of an empty space and giving an opportunity to publicly showcase personal work is fantastic!
Gorgeous sets of photography – clearly laid out – loved the size of the images, felt each one could be greatly appreciated. Such a great couple of hours – so interesting to see some artists’ works divided and be able to tell whose was whose! Wonderful day out – such a great way to learn to appreciate photography.
Landscape photos particularly well presented, too many graphic effects on the industrial ones, a very good mixture of types and approaches. Nothing at all that could be described as banal snapshots.
Wonderful – such large pictures/prints, lots of space to move around. Very very colourful.
Some good interpretations of the theme.
Very interesting pictures. Liked the venue.

It is the sheer size of the prints that impresses. Well worth seeing.
A fascinating, varied and vibrant collection of images displayed to excellent effect. Cracking use of colour!
Always good to see a photographic exhibition here. I’d like to have seen a wider range of exhibitors. ‘Abyss’ series was amazing! Keep up the good work!

It’s inspirational! But how comes I cannot take such quality photos with my top-of-the-range camera?!
Some interesting images. A few, not surprisingly, stood out for me – A for apple, B for banana for example. Also good to see a range of cameras used, thus reducing the importance of expensive gear.
Excellent sizes, good printing. Would be nice to have optional notes, more details about the photographers intentions, story.

Wonderful exhibition with a great variety of subjects of Britain! Some photos were Photo Shopped which were good.
Found the wide variety of interpretation of the theme interesting. Not so many photos with the 'wow' factor as previously, but this no doubt reflects the reduced space available.
The large scale of the prints allows you to appreciate them better. Spreading out over several floors gives a sense of significance to the works.
Great exhibition. Loved the notes and images. Gave me much to think about.
Good to see that photos don't have to be 'staged', but of everyday themes. Also should always carry a camera whenever you go out.
Good, really loved all the photos of old people.
Interesting and enlightening…. Would be useful if more detail were available regarding why the photos are presented in the way they are. Advertise more.

The best exhibition I have seen. Nigel explained the aspects and has made me see the art forms from within
A very interesting and varied collection. Particularly enjoyed Chris Cockerill’s photographs of his family
Art in the workplace is to be encouraged. Worthwhile in its own right to document (record) features of contemporary and recent past life. Avoids heavily saturated colours that I have previously encountered with other exhibitions of large printed photos
