Paul Chapman is an amateur photographer whose work features in our touring exhibition No Briton is an Island. He recently submitted his images for our brand new theme A Splash of Colour which is seeting off on its inaugural tour of the country tomorrow. The exhibition kicks off in Croydon before continuing on to Slough, Uxbridge, Bracknell, Ascot, Maidenhead and finally Bristol.

We caught up with Paul to find out more about his photography, his inspiration the images that he submitted for the exhibition.

One of our latest exhibition themes to have been put together by our curator Adrian is A Splash of Colour which will be going out on its inaugural tour of the country starting on July 6th. As you can image, with a title like this the theme was very popular and we had a great variety of images coming in from all over the globe showing the vibrancy and beauty that colour adds to our lives.

One of the photographers who submitted his work and whose work will be touring the country as part of the exhibition is Paul Chapman. We will be interviewing Paul for our Spotlight series here on the blog in the coming weeks to find out more about his inspiration and his work. However, in the meantime, we wanted to show you some truly inspirational images that Paul took whilst visiting one of our exhibitions.

Our Faces competition is now in full swing and has been open for five weeks. We have been receiving plenty of great entries which you can see over on the competition page and if you are yet to enter your work there is still time. The competition closes on 30th June 2013. In the meantime we caught up with our judge for this competition who is Cuban-born Gabriela Bello Ugalde. In this interview Gabi tells us how her love of photography developed from a young age, how teaching photography has been the highlight of her career and what she most loves about being a photographer.
